Welcome everyone to Wacoal Brand. I’m Wacoal Brand Manager (Thai Wacoal Public Company Limited). The first thing that I will say that is I’m so glad to joint venture with every partner. I hope all of you know Wacoal product that the company has Ladies’ lingerie is main product. Besides, Wacoal has other product that is ladies’ outerwear and childrenwear.

If mention about underwear, I believe all of you will think of Wacoal because Wacoal is the first-class of underwear in Thailand.

We believe almost women want to be perfect person who have both inside and outside beauty that is mental beauty and physical beauty. Mental beauty can implant since childhood. On the other hand physical beauty can’t establish but women can select to consume beauty product.

Nowadays, almost women worry about their physical more than the past because they think if they have perfect shape, that mean they have victory than half. Besides, women have to face venereal diseases especially Breast cancer that women has high risk. Breast cancer is diseases that all of women don’t want to be and it is difficult to be if all of women in society know the way to take care oneself. Selecting women’s lingerie is one way for women that can help them to avoid Breast cancer.

Wacoal is leader of women’s lingerie that it has quality and appropriate with chest of women. We're sure Wacoal can respond desire of all women in society because Wacoal was designed for especially women. +++ Company background

Thai Wacoal Public Company Limited was established on October 1st, 1970 that joint venture between Thailand’s Saha Group of Companies and Wacoal Corp. of Japan where was a center of R&D and business development. Moreover, Wacoal Corp. set up operation in Europe, American and Asia.

During early period, the company was located at Soi Watdokmai, Sathupradith Road that was the first company to be engaged in industrial production of ladies’ lingerie products in Thailand. In 1976, the company expanded production by setting up new production plant at Bangklo that was the location of the company’s head office today.

The company had 4 new branches that is SR.W. Garment Co., Ltd. in Chonburi in 1984, Wacoal Lamphun Co., Ltd. in Lampoon, Wacoal Kabinburi Co., Ltd. and Pattaya Kabinburi Co., Ltd. in Prachinburi in 1993.

Wacoal is the manufacturer of finished garment products that consist of ladies’ lingerie, ladies’ outerwear, and childrenwear products with main product category being ladies’ lingerie. As a result we can’t describe all of Wacoal product, so we will emphasize in ladies’ lingerie.

Moreover, they still love in new style that is sexy, and pretty. Besides, they still love in color, soft, luxurious and the important thing is taking care in health.

The company has advertising and sales promotion strategy that is




Advertising: To boost product image and to create confidence in product, focus is on the mass media such as television, bus stop, magazine and internet.






Sale Promotion: To boost sales volume at the outlet, focus is on setting appealing store ambience that will prompt consumers’ purchase decision.


Joint activity with the store: To foster good relationship with the outlet and to create product image for example organizing “IN STYLE 2001” as a display of lingerie fashion trends and development in material and design.





Special event activity: This is to help build up consumer’s awareness and recognition of the company. Advertising aside, public relations on marketing activities and social activities should go in the same direction for example organization of “Wacoal’s Pink Ribbon Fights Breast Cancer,” so that women would be alert in keeping themselves from breast cancer.


Promotion strategy is one important thing for sale product because consumers will absorb many detail of product from this strategy especially advertising pass media such as television, bus stop, magazine and internet. Moreover consumers still consume presenter that mean the presenter can attract people in society to be interested in product especially ladies’ lingerie.

My Reflection

The first time, when I know I have to create blog, I feel anxious so much because I’ve never done that and I don’t expert in media. On the other hand Aj. Gob always encourages students in class and suggests many tips to us. That suggestion can help me to develop my idea. After that I’m so happy and enjoy with creation blog although I face many problems, I try to solve that problem. The big problem for me that is analysis Wacoal’s details, I have to take for long time to analyze details.

This course can help me to develop computer skill by creation blog help me to be patient and more diligent person. Moreover, creation blog is a good way for studying in class because technologies help me to develop my creativity and decrease amount of papers that it is the way of save the world in present time. Furthermore studying Wacoal help me to know about Wacoal more than the past that in the past I knew only Wacoal is lead brand of ladies’ lingerie but now I knew that Wacoal has more products beside ladies’ lingerie that is outerwear and childrenwear and know more marketing of Wacoal. Now I’m proud that I’m the part of Wacoal.

My Journal: Week 6


Aj. Gob took the exercise in the class that it was about Business Grammar in term of what you think and should you say for example in the opinion that is we can’t accept it. I should say unfortunately, we would be unable to accept it. If you think don’t forget your obligations, you should say I’m sure we don’t need to remind you of your contractual obligations. This exercise made me to know about the way of good speech and didn’t the audience has bad feeling when listen. At the same time, I knew when I had to contact about business or communication with other person, I should say in good word and kept the goodwill of that person. Besides, Aj. Gob described about review of midterm.

Moreover, we had role play about activities in the company such as greeting. Today is funny day I got entertainment and more knowledge together. Every group could transmit what should I do? When I had to work in the company.

Now, I have to prepare myself for MIDTERM.

My Journal: Week 5

Aj. Gob showed the last presentation pictures that we role play about interviewing in many position and she showed comment of each group. Also Aj. Gob suggested about interview issues that are 1.Talk clearly, eye contact, body language, attitude 2. Impromptu question 3. Salary 4. Result of the interview 5. What will you contribute to the company? 6. Study company’s information carefully and thoroughly (show you real interest) and the last, get yourself familiar with SPECIFIC terms in that business. Besides Aj. Gob still told about good introduce tip that we had to introduce name and told reason of coming here for apply job. I thought we had to face these things in the interviewing certainly.

My Journal: Week 4

This week Aj. Gob gave more information about Product Strategy that it included R&D, service, support, packaging, warranty, and marketing. I thought “business” this word was very thorough because it had different from another.
WOW! It was funny week for me. Aj. Gob had small activity in the class that we had to role play about interview job in many positions such as flight attendance, front office, reporter, the star, actress, etc. that it depended on each group choose the position. I thought this role play was soon situation that I had to face absolutely. My group selected sport news reporter position that I was interviewer. I could know ideas and some important question that interviewer want to know. I believed every group in class will get idea from this activity.

What did I learn from the VictoriasSecretCom?

Nowadays, the world has technology that it has more development. Technology can help the owner and distributor have good idea about channel of commercial product that they can use media into business especially using IT for attract consumer. There are many channels to promote product that are TV, newspaper, billboard, poster, etc. Then Victoria’s Secret used online way into business and this brand is successful business. As a result Victoria’s secret is leader in online. Besides channel of promote product, it also presenter who can help attract consumer for consume that product. When I watched Victoria’s Secret web site, I thought it was outstanding web site. Designer can appreciate consumer who want to consume about sexy and modern. Moreover, Victoria’s Secret can help me to more understand product and promotion strategy.

My Journal: Week 3

Oh! This week began more serious for me because Aj. Gob gave the sections into the blog that it’s important to support my brand. It concluded 5 sections that are rationale, company background, product strategy, promotion strategy, and reflection. I thought each sections difficult to analysis. Besides, she showed friends’ blog that it’s so cool. After I knew about the sections that I have to analysis, I found information of Wacoal that I’ve never known before. That information helped me to more understand the word “Business”. I knew if I want to be good businesswoman, I had to know about strategies for attract customers. Then, I will try to be a good businesswoman.

My Journal: Week 2

Aj. Gob taught about business’s background that it is interesting. Aj. Gob had a question for us that are what’re really in women’s bag? After that we joined in group for answer this question. The first time we thought everything that appears in the bag. On the other hand Aj. Gob told us it is demand that it appeared in the bag such as beauty, prestige, pride, hope, ambition, achievement, fantasy, safety, dignity, difference, success, dream, avoidance, happiness, equality, and perfect world. This answer gave idea for me that is people should have different view when you do something. Besides I learnt about Maslow’s hierarch of Needs that it has five step that each step has difference that are basic (physiological), safety, belonging, ego-status, and self actualization. Today I was enjoyed with this class. (Now, I was enjoyed with creating BLOG)

My Journal: Week 1

Today I was excited when I came to class ENG-380 English for International Trade because I had never learnt with Aj. Gob and I had never seen her. I thought this course was challenge and useful course for me because I had never learnt about business. Moreover I didn't have background about business. ENG-380 was the first course about business for me. Before I would register this course, I had ever heard from my sister that I had to create blog in this course that I thought it is difficult to me because I had never created blog. So I was worry about it. I was afraid of I cannot do it but I would try to create. The first time I learnt with Aj. Gob, I was so happy because I thought she was so kind and understand students in class. She was always tells us that "hardworking is never kill us". I had more willpower and I had to can do it.
